Participants in the Agro-Industrial Food Forum between Opportunities to Achieve Food Security organized by the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Buruj Yemen for Marketing and Exhibitions Organization recommended the formulation of a national program based on the replacement of industrial national products instead of similar imported products.

 Participants in the two-day forum, which was held in Sana'a with the participation of experts, academics, and representatives of government agencies and the private sector, stressed the need to encourage research, development and innovation for food commodities and products, and to work with government agencies to establish a mechanism to support local industries, as well as to enhance the participation of the private sector in drawing up and developing economic policies related to food industries.  .

 The recommendations called for the formation of a joint committee from Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, the Ministry of Trade and Industry, and the Ministry of Agriculture, to research mechanisms for localizing food industries and replacing them with imported ones, and to work to enhance the global competitiveness of Yemeni food companies through government support for innovation, research and development in food products.#Fycci
