On Wednesday, corresponding to 8-16-2023 an expanded meeting was held in Federation of Yemen Chambers of Commerce and Industry with the Renewable Energy Commission.

 During the meeting, Dr. Taha Ahmed Al-Mahbashi, Director General of the Federation, explained: The importance of this meeting comes from the great role played and will be played by the renewable energy sector, especially in light of the current circumstances that Yemen is going through.

 Stressing: This meeting will focus on discussing the conditions for selecting the members of the committee, the services provided by the federation and the chambers of commerce to businessmen, internal and external events and coordination to participate in local and international conferences, seminars and exhibitions, in addition to addressing issues of concern to companies working in the field of energy and adopting the ideas and proposals presented.  A member of the committees and working to follow them up with the relevant authorities.

 While Dr. Mansour Al-Bashiri, Economic Adviser to the nion, called on the committee to activate the basic issues to be part of the strategic plan of the committee, which will include activities, events, exhibitions, awareness programs, training and qualification for workers in the renewable energy sector, and societal contributions that companies operating in this sector can contribute to.

 The meeting also discussed preparing a list of companies working in renewable energy in accordance with the terms of membership in the committee. It was agreed to hold a subsequent meeting to select a chairman and two deputies for the committee.
