Explanatory Introduction: - The tasks of the committee were first established when it was established in July 2005. And expanded its functions in October 2009. By adding the training, rehabilitation and youth sectors. Then, in January 2011, it modified its duties and responsibilities as follows. According to the work plan of the union committees for the year 2011. And that is the transfer of the two sectors added in 2009. Including and adding a new, wide sector to its specialties is the many craft sectors:



 



1. The basics of the work of the Businesswomen and Professional Sectors Committee and its tasks are defined in the following:


• The affairs, issues and conditions of Yemeni businesswomen and their requirements


• Organizing the categories of Yemeni businesswomen according to their work and the sectors in which they operate


• Relationship with Arab and international businesswomen's bodies and organizations


• Supervising the craft sectors of the private sector, including the production of traditional goods


• Supervising the individual and household production sectors.


• Small projects set up by businesswomen, and small projects set up by members of the private sector in the various activities of the craft sectors, the production of traditional goods, and individual and household production, are included in the committee's competencies.


• The Committee is strongly concerned with the issues of the contribution of businesswomen and members of the private sector to the development of Yemeni women.


2. Coordination with the board of directors, the president of the union, the general administration of the union and the rest of the specialized committees to enhance the effectiveness of the activities of Yemeni businesswomen in all sectors of the private sector. And also what achieves the tasks of the committee in supervising the craft sectors and the production of traditional goods and individual and household production.



3. Seriously work on solving the problems of the existing segment of businesswomen, in order to enable them to develop their businesses without obstacles and hindrances. And the cooperation of all frameworks of the private sector in this work. And the attention paid by the committee to the issues of the contribution of businesswomen and members of the private sector to the development of Yemeni women in general.



4. Supporting Yemeni women business owners, developing their performance, raising their efficiency, and arming them with sufficient knowledge and experience for commercial, industrial and service businesses in the various branches and sectors of private sector activities. And holding seminars and workshops to exchange different experiences and practical experiences of businesswomen.



5. Contribute to the organization of women's gatherings of businesswomen and their frameworks and bodies, in order to serve the unity of businesswomen and unify their efforts. And the establishment of seminars and workshops during which the search for treatments and solutions to the difficulties and obstacles facing businesswomen, and to propose solutions in their regard.



6. And their work to advance their activities and their unity, and to serve the role of general economic businesswomen and their position in the national economy and in the activity of the private sector.



7. Organizing producers from individuals, groups, family and home laboratories working in the various and different craft sectors and the production of traditional goods and individual and domestic production, which is currently suffering from scattering and lack of unification of efforts. And work on an integrated scientific inventory of these, and the task of collecting information and integrated statistics on the craft sectors is one of the main tasks of the committee.



8. Follow up on the issues, issues and trends of the development of the women's sector in all fields, follow-up the contribution of businesswomen and members of the private sector to the development of Yemeni women in all fields, and submit proposals and opinions to the leadership of the union, its general management, and the chambers of commerce and industry in this aspect. 9. Inventory of the difficulties, obstacles and obstacles faced by the craft sectors, the production of traditional goods and individual and household production through the follow-up by the committee. And holding seminars and workshops during which the search for treatments and solutions to those difficulties and obstacles.



10. Develop programs to rehabilitate and train businesswomen, and conduct training courses for businesswomen in various aspects, such as: project management - management - accounts - marketing -. etc., especially in the aspects related to the development of their practical performance and the work of their projects. The same applies to the rehabilitation of male and female workers in the craft sectors and the production of traditional goods (especially those of a historical and touristic nature) and individual and household production.



11. Paying attention to providing financial funding for businesswomen and their investment projects as a primary task for the committee, and establishing joint commercial and industrial projects for businesswomen under the supervision of the committee and providing them in support.



12. Cooperation and integration with Gulf, Arab and international businesswomen's bodies, organizations and institutions in all fields. And work to contact Arab and international organizations and bodies to obtain the technical and material support required for businesswomen and the committee.



13. Work on developing the economic, legal and social environment to protect and develop the businesswomen segment, support the existing businesswomen’s institutions and companies, provide technical advice, practical advice and basic services to them for their development, and work to provide financial funding for their development and expansion.



14. Advance the craft sectors and the production of traditional goods (especially those of a tourist and historical nature) and individual and domestic production through cooperation and joint work with the General Union and the Chambers of Commerce and Industry. And the relevant official government agencies, such as the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and cooperative bodies, such as the Cooperative Federation of Craft Societies and various craft associations. And with Arab, international and international organizations and bodies located in or outside the Republic of Yemen.



15. Paying attention to the craft sectors, the production of traditional goods, individual and household production, supporting them and providing the necessary funds to improve them. As well as providing loans and financing to establish more of them.
