Tasks of the Education, Training and Rehabilitation Committee



Illustrative Introduction:- The Committee's tasks were set for the first time within the Services Sectors Committee when it was established in July 2005. And expanded its functions in October 2009. In a committee that includes health, education and services. Then it modified its name and expanded its jurisdiction in January 2011. In light of the plan of the specialized committees of the Federation for the year 2011. Finally, the tasks of the committee were set after dividing the Multiple Service Sectors Committee into three specialized committees at the end of 2013. This committee is one of them:



A- The field of work of the Committee: The field of work of the Committee on Education, Training and Rehabilitation, the affairs of the activity of units, institutions and centers of the private sector in the sectors of education, training and rehabilitation, and these sectors include:



• Facilities, schools and basic educational institutions: private primary, middle, and secondary schools, and private universities.



• Higher educational institutes and centers. (below university - vocational, technical and technical)



• Private vocational and technical training, rehabilitation and education centers, institutes and institutions.



• Private training, rehabilitation and technical education centers, institutes and institutions.



• Kindergarten.



• Rehabilitation centers, institutes and institutions for the job.



B - Tasks, functions and work of the Committee:



The tasks and competencies of the Education, Training and Rehabilitation Committee include the following basic and subsidiary educational, training and rehabilitative services:



1- Supervising and following-up tasks for the following:



• Research and field surveys



• Field qualification in work facilities.



• Educational, rehabilitation and training consultations.



• Human development in its various branches



• Scientific research in general



• Education, training and rehabilitation services abroad



•    Open Education



2- Holding seminars, conferences and scientific courses in various aspects of education, training, rehabilitation and human resources.



3- Paying attention to the conditions and organization of the various educational, training and rehabilitation facilities and the various educational and training service units of the private sector, organizing them and improving the various services they provide.



4- Solve the difficulties and problems faced by education, training and rehabilitation facilities and human resources in their activities and work. This is according to the nature of the work and the specialization of each group or category in proportion to the type of its activity.



5- Contribute to the development of educational, training and rehabilitation curricula and constantly updating them in line with Arab and international standards.



6- Working to improve official transactions between education, training and rehabilitation centers, institutions and companies affiliated with the private sector on the one hand, and official authorities such as the Ministry of Education and its branches and offices, as well as the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the Ministry of Technical Education. Vocational training, and its affiliated educational, rehabilitation and training centers, on the other hand.



7- Establishing quality assurance programs in educational, training and rehabilitation facilities, and searching for funding sources for these programmes.



8- To work in coordination with the leadership of the General Union and the General Administration of the Union to coordinate with the relevant legislative authorities in a way that leads to the improvement of legislation, laws, regulations and transactions related to the aspects of the committee’s sectors and its various branches of work, and the development of laws and regulations in force in these sectors and aspects or that It has to do with his activities and running his business.



9- Work to raise the level of performance of the work of the private sector in the various fields of education, training, rehabilitation and services in them, whether in terms of the quality of performance of the teacher, trainer and lecturer, or in terms of developing and organizing private education, training and rehabilitation centers and institutions in a way that suits the needs Students and citizens, and the requirements of economic developments and global progress.



10- Coordination by the committee in all activities, events and works with the board of directors, the president of the federation, the general administration of the federation and the rest of the specialized committees of the federation in order to enhance the effectiveness of the activity of the various sectors of its work, and in accordance with the methods used in work.



11- Develop qualifying and training programs to raise the level of workers in private education, training and rehabilitation centers and institutions in the areas of competence of the Committee by taking advantage of the resources provided by the state, the Federation, the Chambers of Commerce and Industry, or Arab and international donor bodies.



12- Work on evaluating the level of various services provided by the private sector in the various fields of education, training, qualification and specializations affiliated to the committee, provided that this includes reliance on a survey of citizens’ opinions on the services provided.



13- Participation in Arab and international committees and federations concerned with the education, training and rehabilitation sector, participation in relevant international conferences and exhibitions, and benefiting from the experiences of the private education, training and rehabilitation sectors in the Arab Gulf states and Arab countries, and others. , in developing the role and activity of the private sector in those sectors in Yemen.



14- Encouraging the development and expansion of the various sectors of education, training and rehabilitation of the private sector, and modernizing and improving its work in accordance with international standards, including improving its facilities and facilities and rehabilitating and training its employees. Improving the level of curricula and teaching and training aids. And follow the latest methods in it and in the development of human resources.



15- The Committee's interest in investing in the fields of education, training and rehabilitation through events held in this regard carried out by the Committee in coordination between the Committee and the Specialized Investment Committee of the Federation. As well as in coordination with the leadership of the Federation and its general executive management.



16- Carrying out research, studies and questionnaires on the activities of private education, training and rehabilitation facilities and their fields of work.



17- Contributing and assisting in obtaining grants and loans for educational and training institutions according to the standards.



18- Opening a financial account to run the work of the committee.
